A Visitor’s Guide to Caesars Windsor

The Caesars Windsor is a casino resort in the city of Windsor, Ontario just over the US/Canada line. It is one of four casinos in the Detroit metro area and the only one on the Canada side. The favorable US/Canada currency exchange rate makes it a popular place for visitors from the United States. The casino boasts incredible views of the Detroit skyline from the Windsor waterfront. It’s a wonderful casino hotel to spend a few days and relax.

Which tower is best at Caesars Windsor?

Forum Tower
The “Forum” hotel tower stands at 23 stories tall and opened in 1998. The Forum Tower is adults only and boasts a riverfront view of the Detroit skyline. Rooms have separate bathtubs and step-in showers. The Forum Tower is located closer to the health club, gaming floor and self-parking.

Augustus Tower
The “Augustus” tower stands at 27 stories and opened in 2008. The Augustus Tower is family friendly. The rooms include the separate bathtubs and step-in showers like the Forum Tower. This tower is closer to the Colosseum, check-in desk, valet parking and conference space.

Are drinks free at Caesars Windsor?

According to their website, at Caesars Windsor, standard non-alcoholic drinks, such as pop, water, coffee and tea are complimentary on the gaming floor. However, they do not offer free alcoholic drinks on the casino floor per Ontario regulations. Drinks can be purchased on the casino floor or in their bars.

Who owns the Caesars Windsor?

The casino is owned by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation and many of their profits are returned to the Government of Ontario. The casino’s operating license holder is Caesars Entertainment and utilizes the Caesars Rewards program.

Does Caesars Windsor have free parking?

The casino offers free covered self-parking in their six floor parking garage. They also offer 24/7 valet parking. According to their website, valet charges may apply, which are below:

Platinum  – $10 CDN Daily (tax included)
Seven Stars & Diamond – Complimentary with validated ticket*

*Valet tickets can be validated at the Hotel Front Desk, Caesars Rewards Centre or Main Cashier Cage. Seven Stars & Diamond guests can also validate at VIP Services.

Does Caesars Windsor have a pool?

The hotel has a great pool, actually. It is adult-only pool that also features a grand whirlpool hot tub and deck chairs. Complimentary towel service and fully equipped change rooms are also available.

Does Caesars Windsor have a fitness center?

The hotel had an impressive fitness center when we stayed there. It has plenty of cardio equipment such as treadmills, stationary bikes and ellipticals and also an impressive amount of gear for strength training. It also includes a sauna. The fitness center is for guests aged 19 and up and is open daily 6am to 10pm.

Can you smoke in Caesars Windsor? Does Caesars Windsor have smoking rooms?

Under the Smoke Free Ontario Act, smoking is prohibited in the facility. They do offer outdoor smoking lounges that are heated in the winter. Additionally, the hotel offers several smoking rooms on designated smoking floors.
