Favorite (Affordable) 2024 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) Products

What is CES?

Brostocks headed out, for the first time, to Las Vegas for the Consumer Electronics Show (CES). The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is an annual trade show organized by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA). It is one of the largest and most influential events in the consumer electronics industry. CES typically takes place in Las Vegas, Nevada, and serves as a platform for companies to showcase their latest innovations and products in various technology sectors, including electronics, gadgets, home appliances, automotive technology, robotics, and more.

The event provides a stage for companies to unveil new products, announce partnerships, and demonstrate emerging technologies. CES attracts professionals, industry experts, journalists (and bloggers for that matter!) and enthusiasts from around the world, offering them a firsthand look at the cutting-edge advancements and trends shaping the future of consumer electronics. It covers a wide range of categories, from smart home devices and wearables to artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and automotive technology.

A significant portion of the products are massive industrial game changing technologies, but many are also simply consumer products to add conveniences and technological innovation for our daily lives. We will highlight some of our favorites from the 2024 show in this category.

Y-Brush Electric Toothbrush

I read about the Y-Brush, an electric toothbrush claiming to brush your entire mouth in 20 seconds, ahead of CES. I spend so much time pacing around with my electric toothbrush on a daily basis that I had to check this one out. I was really impressed with the product demonstration at the event and this is definitely one I am hoping to pick up. You can buy the Y-Brush for $99.90 or get a head compatible with the Philips Sonic Care for just $29.90.

Fuse Vert Vertical Vinyl Record Player

The Fuse Vert Vertical Vinyl Record Player was another highlight for me, made by California based company, Fuse Audio. It had awesome quality and it’s a very compact and aesthetically pleasing device. Old meets new as it plays vinyl with the unique vertical turntable but also syncs to Bluetooth. I am debating on downsizing my vinyl setup and just picking up this thing. Plus, it was truly high quality sounding for a price only around $200.

Kohler Numi 2.0 Smart Toilet

So the affordable label should probably be used loosely on this one, but I was extremely impressed with the offerings at the Kohler booth at CES this year, in particular their smart toilets that sell to the tune of nearly $10,000. The features are wild and futuristic. They include hands-free technology including a touchless lid, seat and flush. It also has an automated bidet wand. The toilet can also be controlled by the Kohler Konnect App and Amazon Alexa to integrate music playlists or built-in sound experiences from Kohler. Or, you can even play your favorite podcast during your bathroom business. It even includes an emergency flush feature for power outages. While I likely won’t have the means to pick this one up any time soon, maybe in an eventual dream home.

Litheli Electric Fold Camping Wagon

I got to try out firsthand the Litheli Electric Fold Camping Wagon. It operates off of the brand’s U-Battery plus which was featured on a whole line of power tools. The wagon, retailing at just $299.99, is a very unique tool that can pull up to 132 lbs. I was very impressed with the full line of tools with this company but trying out this multi-use powered wagon was definitely a highlight.

ColdSnap

I would be remiss not to mention this product that is unfortunately not available yet, but I believe this product is going to be a game changer. The ColdSnap does for ice cream what the Keurig does for coffee. Using their proprietary pods, the ColdSnap makes on-demand single servings of premium ice cream and other frozen treats – including frozen lattes, protein shakes, smoothies, and frozen cocktails – in two minutes. I got to try multiple flavors of the ice cream and was very impressed. While individuals won’t be able to purchase it just yet, the ColdSnap is planning to launch in Q1 2024 into commercial offices, stadiums and arenas, convention centers, customer lounges, colleges and universities, senior assisted living facilities, and more.
