A Kentucky cafe where it’s Christmas every day

When you were young, you may have had the wish that every day could be Christmas. One Kentucky entrepreneur has turned this dream into a reality. I stumbled upon the Christmas Morning Cafe driving through the Louisville, Kentucky area and decided to make a stop. As a child, I always loved Christmas decor and going to Christmas specialty stores in off-season times. I was able to talk to the owner and try the food and learn more about the concept and history of this truly magical and unique place.

Opening a restaurant in a pandemic

One of the boldest things about this restaurant is that it actually opened in the heart of the COVID-19 pandemic. While most people were hearing stories about restaurants tragically having to close, the restaurant’s owner, Craig Bishop, made the bold step of not only opening a new restaurant but specifically one that is themed around a winter holiday in the dead of summer. Bishop, seasoned in the restaurant business and also the owner of another Louisville area coffee shop, attributes a lifetime love of Christmas as a reason for opening the cafe.

As you can see from the photos, the halls are most certainly decked. The whole inside and outside is decorated with unique and charming Christmas decor. There are a few tables inside and a large amount of outdoor seating for a cozy setting of holiday cheer.

When I was there, I ordered a peppermint latte and the Grinch avocado toast. The food was great and the service was friendly. I highly recommend checking this place out if you find yourself in the Louisville area and if you’re a fellow Christmas enthusiast.
